Looking back to the start of this unit, I remembered the feeling I had back then. I was very happy because I have just finished English Assessment 2, and was thinking that things are going to get much better from this point onward…I was wrong. The thought has never crossed my mind that I have to write five essays. Five essays…the whole idea just left me speechless. What makes it worse is that I had other things to attend to, and as a result I skipped not just many periods of English class, but other subjects as well. Dividing my time with all these work on my back have been a serious challenge for me. I have to say, this English unit have been quite a wild chase, with the assessment being hot on my tail.
Unit-wise I don’t really enjoy this academic writing as I never really enjoy things that are too structured. Carefully planning about what to write and then making an outline are some things that I don’t particularly enjoy doing. That’s why I can’t say that I’m proud of my partial essays, though I am quite confident with my complete essay. For me writing a complete essay that connects one paragraph with another is easier than writing the outline itself.
Choosing technology for the topic was, I think, a very good idea. Technology is a common thing that has become a part of our lives, and as a result this gives us the opportunity to delve deeper into the topic. An interesting thing I notice about my own topic, which is about Adobe Illustration and Photoshop, is that many designers and users always try to figure out which is the best graphic design software. It is rather amusing to see how many websites on the internet contradict each others. One website might say that Adobe Illustrator is the best, while other might say that it is the worst. Well, I guess it all came down to the users themselves.
Finally I’m done!
